NC NOVA LINKS AND RESOURCES

NC NOVA was created under a $1.2 million Better Job Care demonstration grant from The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and The Atlantic Philanthropies to the N.C. Foundation for Advanced Health Programs.

The General Assembly enacted NC NOVA in July 2006. (Click here to read the NC NOVA law.)

A diverse partner team including workers, consumers, employers, educators and state officials developed North Carolina's innovative program and will monitor its progress.


NC NOVA PARTNER TEAM RESOURCES

The Leading Age - Center for Applied Research directed and managed the national Better Jobs Better Care grant program through which NC NOVA was created.

PHI, a national organization that works to improve the lives of people who need home or residential care by improving the lives of the workers who provide that care, provided technical assistance to NC NOVA.


 NC NOVA PARTNER TEAM

The NC NOVA Partner Team included Representatives from across North Carolina.  It met monthly starting in August 2003 to develop the program and has continued to meet since the General Assembly enacted NC NOVA in July 2006.
